My Detox Supplement Regime

This is what I have ended up doing, everyone is different and need to tweak supplements to suit them (I am slow metaboliser and I think I under-methylate, this is what you have to figure out through tests so you can take right supplements). Some people react to supplements so always start slow and build up. I decided to type this up to help people consider if some herbs / supplements could be right for them. Always buy good quality supplements without the poisonous fillers!

Pre-Amalgam removal

1 week before removal this is what my dentist recommended taking:
  1. Multi-vitamin
  2. Probiotics
  3. Digestive Enzymes
  4. Garlic
  5. Selenium
  6. Vitamin C
  7. Fish Oil (Eskimo 3) - look for high quality brands that do not have contaminates like mercury.
I was already taking these:
  1. Feroglobin - everything needed to make red blood cells, copper, iron, zinc, B6, Folic acid and B12. I had low iron levels and felt like I had anemia even though dr said I didn't these tablets were amazing. However I since learnt folic acid could harm certain people, therefore I should have been taking Methyl-folate as its more bio-available.
  2. Additional Methyl-B12. Mthfr.net says anyone with mercury poisoning or Altzeimers gene should not take Methyl but instead use Hydroxy-B12.
  3. Manuka Honey - good antibacterial, anti virus, anti fungal
  4. Herbal Teas
  5. Reduce diary product intake (mercury inhibits enzymes required to breakdown lactose, hence many people being lactose intolent!). Lots of people also do well for gluten free diets. Wheat has a lot of mercury residue in it. Rice from polluted places like china has a lot of heavy metals in them. Its all about food quality!!!!!

Post Amalgam removal

Post removal my dentist only recommended taking selenium and seagreens but I decided to carry on with the other supplements above.

My hair tests shows very high levels of copper and therefore I had to cut out all supplements with copper. My blood tests showed my iron not going up and found out you shouldn't taken iron as body will get rid of iron before mercury, therefore iron supplements waste of time until mercury and copper decreased. I am also coming to conclusion these synthetic vitamins don't do much so trying more herbs.

This is my current regime which is working well for me:

  1. Seagreens x2 twice a day  - beneficial whole food My dentist says it detoxes heavy metals but evidence is weak.
  2. Omega 3 540mg x1 twice a day - Increase fluidity of cell membranes, which facilitate easier transport of mercury out of cells
  3. Zinc picolinate 1 x 30mg - to balance out my copper toxicity, mercury depletes zinc.
  4. Vitamin E 1 x 1000iu - antioxidant
  5. Milk Thistle 1 x 450mg - liver detox, make sure its seed extract, the rest of plant can mimic estrogen.
  6. Turmeric 4 x 350mg- originally for my recurring boils but this stuff has so many health benefits. Individuals can be sensitive to this.
  7. Olive leaf extract 4 x 300mg (60mg Oleuropein)- to kill any hidden Bacteria, virus or mold in my system. Individuals can be sensitive to this.
  8. Garlic (high sulpher) 1 x 400mg - mercury has high affinity with sulpher, sulpher is critical to many functions. Individuals maybe sensitive to this as a result.
  9. Selenium 2 drops 90 mcg - mercury binds with selenium and selenium deficiency will lead to reduction in glutathione peroxidase which leads to free radical damage
  10. Hydroxy B12 2000mcg and Andenosyl-B12 3000mcg micro lingual. 
  11. Methyl folate 3 x 1000mcg- mthfr gene defects meaning my body cannot convert folate to the methyl form. Folic acid is not very good for you, you need proper folate.
  12. Activated B-complex - this helps the adrenals and supports methylation, make sure you take bio-available vitamins (without folic acid, must contain folate)
  13. Barley Grass juice powder 1tsp - this is to replace my multi-vitamin.
  14. Vitamin C powder 4000mg spread throughout day as body can only absorb so much at a time (I bought a food herbal vitamin C to try but do the normal vit C first, liposomal is supposed to be best but very expensive, if money tight get a bufferred vit C powder) - antioxident
  15. Lithium oratate 1 x 5mg elemental lithium (tablet size may vary check for the active amount) - tends to be deplete in mercury posioned people, helps balance moods, depression etc. Aids B12 into the Central nervous system.
  16. Digestive support (Pro-biotics, digestive enzymes) - mercury destroys gut flora and digestive enzymes 
  17. Transdermal Magnesium as much as you like - magnesium is easily depleted in times of stress, essential for glutathione production in body which is important detoxifying agent. Kidney damage can occur from magnesium deficiency, so its very very important.
  18. Eating lots of pumpkin seeds - good for bile flow and magnesium
  19. Zeolite Clinoptilolite 2.5g mixed with water (make sure good quality and free of contaminants like aluminium) - binds toxins / heavy metals in the gut.
  20. Drinking herbal teas:
    • Dandelion Leaf - kidney cleanse
    • Dandelion Root - liver and gall bladder cleanse
    • Nettle - kidney cleanse
    • Raspberry leaf - good for women, strengthens uterus
    • Green tea - antioxidants
  21. Chlorophyll 100mg - only taking once a week as I forget, but its quite powerful - good general detoxer and energy booster
  22. Use Herbal Toothpaste and SLS free shampoo, conditioner and shower wash - flouride is a neuro toxin and all the other chemicals can cause cancer
  23. Manuka Honey - It just dropped off my regime, too many other things but I occasionally take it if I feel run down or getting a cold. I still make sure I have it in the cupboard.
  24. Epsom Salt Baths once a week - good for magnesium and detoxing.
  25. Weekly Pilates - great for stretching out those aches and pains (Yoga also works well at this if you prefer)
  26. Monthly myofascial pain relief and deep tissue massage - hurts like hell but does help with the pain
  27. Running IF YOUR ADRENALS ARE STRONG ENOUGH - take it very easy but great way to sweat out the poison which is a very effective method, being bed bound will not get this rubbish out of you! I know how difficult it is to get out of bed and walk so do what you can.
  28. Reflexology -  definitely helped in early days not really done any lately

Juicing

Juicing is a really good way in addition to your normal diet to get added nutrients required to heal your body.
Note juicing takes out fiber, this is why juice diets are not good as you are missing out on fiber. However juicing in addition to normal diet is very good for people with damaged digestive systems (mercury damages the digestive system) as it provides an easy way for your body to absorb the nutrients.
The vegetable that has helped me the most is beetroots. In the early days I believe it set off detox reactions, so please start slowly and work up to more raw beetroot in your diet. The leaves can be high in oxalates which some people react to, so please be careful if you may have an oxalate issue. Cooking beetroots releases more oxalates and destroys the nutrients.
The most important thing you should know is Beetroots boost glutathione, which is the bodies natural way to detoxify!!

  1. Thank you. I have had similar experiences with wisdom teeth removal and now amalgam removal except for one. Have have leftsided pain kidney / bowel / ovary just don't know. Am taking garlic and b bit supplements without yeast. Everyone thinks I'm a hypocondriac!
